Working with your group leader, we can create the perfect programme to suit your needs. Below are a few examples of the ways in which the courses can be amended for each theme. If you have a particular theme that you would like us to explore please do contact us as we are more than happy to fit courses around your requirements. Other topics include, but are not limited to, Science, Geography, Sport, and Theatre.
Environment
- English lessons: Conservation, Pollution, Recycling
- Activity sessions: Mini-Beast Hunt, Dam-Building, Scrap Heap Challenge
- Excursions: Electric Mountain, Eureka Museum, Centre for Alternative Technology
Magic School
- English lessons: Merlin the Magician, Your Harry Potter Story, Giants and Dragons
- Activity sessions: Magic Skills and Performance, Midnight Ghost Tour, Spell Brewing
- Excursions: Camelot Theme Park, Live Magic Show, Ghost tour of Chester, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Llangollen Steam Train Ride
History School
- English lessons: Britain in the Middle Ages, Roman Britain, How the Elizabethans lived, The Court of Henry VIII
- Activity sessions: Build a Trebuchet, Attack on Denbigh Castle, Medieval Music Workshop
- Excursions: Blists Hill Living Museum, Roman Day in Chester, Conwy Castle, Erddig Country Manor, Chirk Castle
Course Structure
The course would be structured to your requirements but would most likely include the following:
- 15 hours of English tuition per week including a placement test
- 15 hours of sport tuition per week
- 12 hours of activities per week
- Full-day excursions
Centres
Available at Grange Centre, Manor Centre, Tower Centre and Castle Centre.
Also Included in programme
Airport transfers from Manchester and Liverpool Airports. Full-board residential accommodation.
Mixed course
As the course would be tailored to your group, the English lessons and a number of the activities would be taught just for your students. We would aim to provide sports sessions with students of different nationalities.
