Sports Leadership & Volunteering Programme
Stars have developed a programme that provides students with the opportunity to gain internationally recognised sports leadership and volunteering awards. The young people will be tutored in sports delivery and gain further experience through the guided mentoring of qualified instructors. These courses are supported by Sports Leaders UK, of whom Stars are a delivery partner.
14 Day Course Structure // Optional 21 Day Course
- 30 hours Leadership and Volunteering tuition
- 24 hours of Sport
- 18 hours of Activities
- 1 Full-Day & 2 Afternoon Excursions (2 Full-Days Optional)
- Full Board Residential
Excursions can include:
- Liverpool - Including Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club
- Manchester - Including Manchester United Football Club and Sports City, the host of the Commonwealth Games.
Centres
The programme is available at:
- Castle Centre (Howells)
- Manor Centre (Ellesmere)
Course Requirements
- Students must be 14+ at the start of the course
- Students must demonstrate a good standard of English
