Stars have a comprehensive manual encompassing all Operating Procedures within the organisation. This manual sets out the company's clear policies and procedures and is also used in conjunction with our Employee Handbook during staff training. Policies included are: Health and Safety, Child Protection, Equal Opportunities, Risk Assessments, Accident and Incident Procedures, Transport, Staff Procedures, First Aid and much more. Children Act 1989
Stars is a fully registered provider of full day care under the 1989 Children Act with the Social Services Department of Denbighshire County Council. A copy of our latest inspection is available to all parents & interested parties upon request.
Insurances
Stars have the relevant Public Liability and Employers Liability Insurance Policies in place.
Adventure Activities Licensing Authority
Stars have been granted a licence with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) for the following activities:
Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Improvised Rafting, Sailing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Hill Walking and Mountaineering.
Stars registration number is L5161 – R1143.
The licence demonstrates that we meet the stringent safety criteria for the activities above, as laid down by the recent regulations.
Our facilities undergo regular inspections from the various governing authorities to ensure we meet all the standards necessary to co-ordinate educational and leisure programmes.
Data Protection Agency
Stars are registered under the Data Protection Act of 1989. All details of individuals on our database are strictly confidential.
