What do I love about what we do? I love the challenge. The teamwork. The buzz. The committed staff. The happy customers. These are the things that I love about what we do.

I have been in this business for longer than I care to remember. Language learning and teaching have always been more of a passion to me than a job. I feel strongly that the experience that the young people have with us is one that they will remember for a very long time and what I love about our team is that we all care about what we do. English is an ever more important language in the world and yes, it is a huge benefit to these young people to come to the UK to learn it. But, I believe that it is also a huge benefit to them to experience a different culture, be away from home and have to cope with all that entails and meet and befriend people their own age from all over the world. I enjoy being a part of that worthwhile experience and the best bit for me is visiting the centres and seeing how much they are all enjoying themselves, our students and our staff!

Incoming flights from all over the world. Thousands of international students and group leaders. The management, teaching and sports teams that make us so good. Wonderful schools and colleges in fabulous locations. Visiting cities of culture and history. Designing exciting and appealing English language courses. These are all snippets of what makes our company so exciting and at times challenging. But I like the fact that what we do is fun and that no two days are the same. I like the buzz of visiting a summer camp and seeing our staff enjoying themselves, to ensure that every young person who visits us to learn English enjoys themselves.

For me the most exciting thing about our business is that young people from different countries can have fun and work together in English. When I’m not looking for new countries to add to our international mix the choice is between exercise and good pub grub. Fortunately the rest of my family (including Rosie the dog) share these interests.

We do our upmost to make sure every request is fulfilled, tailoring programmes to customer needs. No challenge is too great; I think the most important thing is being adaptable and friendly.

When I receive the great photos from each camp, I know we are all doing our jobs well and it is easy for me to put them to good use. In essence I help keep our information current and our Internet presence an extension of our approachable, friendly and informative selves.
