Denbigh Castle

Take a tour around the remains of Denbigh Castle, a medieval fortress built following the 13th-century conquest of Wales by Edward I, and re-enact the battles of long ago.


Denbigh Ruthin

Ruthin is a traditional market town of historical interest located in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd, North Wales. It is about 700 years old and has many half-timbered black and white buildings and quaint shops.


Erddig Hall

Erddig Hall is a fascinating early 18th-century grand Victorian country house where visitors can see the upstairs/downstairs life of a gentry family over the last 250 years. The extensive downstairs area contains Erddig’s unique collection of servants’ portraits, while the upstairs rooms are an amazing treasure trove. Outside, an impressive range of outbuildings includes stables, smithy, joiners’ shop and sawmill.


Chester, including Roman tour

Chester is one of Britain’s most beautiful, historic cities. The Roman tour guides, dressed as centurions, explain the history of Chester, why the Romans came to Britain and how they changed British society and culture.


Llangollen, including Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Llangollen is the gateway to North Wales and home to many attractions including mountains, white water rivers, waterfalls, canals with horse-drawn boats, a steam railway and the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the longest and highest in Britain, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009.


Conwy Castle

The medieval walled town of Conwy is a well-known tourist attraction on the North Wales coast. The skyline is dominated by the famous Conwy Castle built in 1283 and described as “one of the great fortresses of Medieval Europe”. During the excursion students visit the castle and traditional seafront where they can see the smallest house in Britain.


Llandudno

Llandudno is the largest resort in North Wales and only 5 miles from Conway. Llandudno is a traditional Victorian seaside resort, home to the longest pier in Wales and Britain’s longest passenger cable car.


Liverpool, including Beatles Museum

Liverpool is one of the most popular cities to visit in Britain and its waterfront is a World Heritage Centre crammed with historic buildings and landmarks. It’s impossible to imagine Liverpool without music and so we include entrance is included to the award-winning Beatles Story in the historic Albert Dock.


Manchester, including tour of Manchester City’s stadium

This trip includes a guided tour of Manchester City Football club’s stadium where students will have the chance to see the directors’ box, warm-up room, dressing room, walk of pride, tunnel, pitch side/dug out and also the memorial garden. Then they visit the city centre of Manchester including the Science and Industry Museum and enjoy some free time for shopping.
