Beamish Museum

Beamish is a world famous open air museum, set in over 300 acres of beautiful countryside. Step on board the trams and we’ll transport you into the past.


Fountains Abbey

The first World Heritage site in Yorkshire, the dramatic twelfth century Abbey ruins at Fountains, are the largest monastic ruins in the country. Set in the naturally beautiful Skell valley, with awe inspiring cliff faces to either side and the river Skell running under the Abbey, this is a spectacular place to visit.


Durham, including river trip

Durham is compact enough to explore on foot with its magnificent Norman Castle and Cathedral. Also enjoy relaxing and taking in the scenery during a river trip.


Edinburgh, including National Museum of Scotland

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and seat of the Scottish Parliament. Its beautiful, medieval ‘old town’ sector contains many historic landmarks, including the Castle, Royal Mile and the national museum of Scotland. The collections of the museum tell the story of Scotland, its land, people and culture.

One of the most beautiful and historic cities in the UK, York is home to the impressive Minster (cathedral) and walls, as well as the world famous JORVIK Viking Centre, which is a ‘must-see’ for visitors to the city of York

Discovery Museum is the ideal place to find out all about life on Tyneside, from the region’s shipbuilding heritage to inventions which changed the world. Packed full of interactive displays, it is the perfect place for all ages to learn and have fun.
